Kapp Lunar Flux™
KAPP Lunar flux is a white paste for high temperature
soldering of aluminum and zinc die cast alloy. It is a reaction-type flux
with 70% active ingredients dispersed in alcohol. It demonstrates
considerable shelf life stability, as the suspending agents prevent
separation and recrystallization of the active ingredients. The
performance of the paste in depositing zinc on aluminum and die cast
surfaces is also consistent over time.
Benefits and Uses
KAPP Lunar flux works well on all common aluminum and zinc die cast
alloys. Specific guidelines for using Lunar Flux in production processes
are available from Kapp Engineering Assistance. Please call for further
assistance.
Recommended soldering alloys: Alumite and all compositions Tin-Zinc
alloys, 50% Tin - 50% Lead; or any alloy/application for aluminum
soldering which demands working temperature range between 550°F and 800°F.
CAUTION: WHEN USED WITH ALUMINUM, TOXIC FUMES WILL BE GIVEN OFF. CALL
KAPP ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. READ AND UNDERSTAND
THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET.
