Benefits and Uses
Aluminum-to-Aluminum or Aluminum-to-Copper wire pigtail splices. Aluminum to Copper, Brass or plated terminals and hot dip coating of Aluminum cable connectors to provide a low resistance contact surface.
Recommended soldering alloys: all KappAloy™ - Tin-Zinc, Kapp 509™ - Cadmium-Zinc, KappRad™ - Tin-Zinc-Cadmium, and Kapp Electric Eutectic™ - Tin-Zinc-Lead alloys.
Residue is electrically conductive and slightly corrosive. We recommend that users remove any residue with hot water or alcohol and a clean rag.
The following chart represents the physical properties of Kapp Golden Flux™. Many factors, such as materials, temperature, and method of application determine the most effective flux. Call Kapp for engineering assistance to discuss your specific needs. We recommend testing appropriate fluxes in your specific application to ensure suitability. Samples of Kapp fluxes are always available upon request.
