DURAKAPP Babbitt™

DURAKAPP Babbitt™ is a unique tin-based babbitt meeting specifications for ASTM B23 #2. It is created through the combination of the highest purity virgin metals and a proprietary KAPP process to provide higher ductility and strength than regular #2 Babbitt. It is excellent for use in high stress mill and production bearings.

Benefits and Uses

DURAKAPP™ Babbitt's higher ductility and strength make it an ideal bearing lining for high stress and shock applications. DURAKAPP™ Babbitt was designed specifically to meet the higher shock loads and stresses of modern minimal production bearings. In addition, the babbitt holds up well under the weight of ever-larger turbines in a variety of applications.
